Are you battling anxiety that feels like it holds you back from experiencing a full and boisterous life? Or perhaps you’re dealing with a loss that feels too heavy to hold. Or maybe you’re in a relationship that is not turning out quite like you had planned or hoped? Whatever brings you to this page, I’m here to help walk with you. I know it can feel overwhelming to think about taking the step to seek therapy but I’m so glad you’re here. There is nothing more courageous than asking for help and I want to create a safe space for you to find freedom from old wounds and unsatisfying patterns. Life is hard, but you don’t have to do it alone.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, I want to create a safe space for you. As with all good relationships, it’s crucial that we are a good fit and I want to make sure that you know you are safe with me. I would love to help you understand the emotions and feelings that you’re experiencing so that you can extend compassion to yourself and find internal peace. My hope is to honor your pain and help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.

Some of my therapist journey work background

I’ve gotten the opportunity to work with those who experience drug and alcohol addiction (those with active addictions and those who are working on their sobriety) as well as the family members of those with addictions. I came to understand that healing is possible for everyone and it’s more of a “journey” and less of an “arrival.” I also have experience working within a hospice where I was able to do bereavement therapy for those who are grieving and have experienced loss. Grief can tear us open in a way that nothing else can but there is hope and healing from even the deepest wounds. I’ve worked with all age groups and am open to those in any place in life.

“Your problem is how you are going to spend this one and precious life you have been issued. Whether you’re going to spend it trying to look good and creating the illusion that you have power over circumstances, or whether you are going to taste it, enjoy it and find out the truth about who you are.”

A little bit about me

I have a wonderful husband who is a middle school teacher and together we have a naughty (but painfully cute) dog. I love to paddle board, do art in many forms and hike. I’m originally from Wisconsin but decided I wasn’t cut out for the cold weather and left as soon as I graduated high school. I will however, always be a cheesehead at heart. I’m very involved in my church and the community of Linda Vista. I can’t wait to get to know you!
